This show will feature something for anyone looking learn about space and space travel including an astrophotography display, daily planetarium shows, samples of asteroids, a moon rock from NASA, the history of Canada's conquests in space and more!

Become an Expert Engineer at Tech City

This fun and interactive exhibit about engineering features 12 activity stations where children can invent, design, create and build. Visitors can learn first-hand how engineers think, by designing solutions and testing them to find out if their creations actually work.

Level 1

Grand Atrium

TotSpot

This colourful area is designed for our youngest visitors to explore their creativity! The gallery is designed especially for children up to 4 years of age. The TotSpot introduces babies and toddlers to early learning principles through visual and tactile stimuli.

Shadow Play

The large white screen on the main floor is the Shadow Play. Turn the coloured lights located behind the screen on and off to create multi-coloured shadows. Dance, pose or wiggle and watch your shadow move with you. How many shadows are there when all of the lights are on?

Geo-Terraces

These are in the centre of the Grand Atrium and unlike school and home you don't have to clean up your toys!

Fish Tanks

Meet our fishy friends! In these 125 gallon tanks full life of life, you'll find a variety of African Cichlids and Rainbow Fish!

The Living Wall

The Living Wall greets guests after they walk through our adult or child sized front doors. The many plants that make up the garden use the sun's energy to grow as it cleans the Museum's air and helps cool the building in the summer!

David Suzuki describes the living wall in this interactive exhibit.

Level 2

Celebration Of The Imagination!

The Urban Streetscape Project

A collaborative effort to showcase iconic features of our Region in a fun and interactive way! The first phase is now open so drop by soon! Create your own sound at The Beat Goes On and interact with images on the floor and wall!

Express Yourself

Level 3

zero footprint

This interactive exhibit is a web based calculator where children can answer questions and learn about their own ecological footprint. Can yours be lowered by walking to the store or school, using reusable lunch boxes or turning off unused televisions, computers and lights?

You bet it can! Come see how many tonnes there are in your footprint then see if you can reduce it before your next visit.
