Kitchener, ON - For the second time in a month The Children's Museum will play host to a film festival. For this weekend only, The Waterloo Festival for Animated Cinema (WFAC) which is entering its 7th year, will be holding a total of five screenings of Japanese animated films.

The Waterloo Festival for Animated Cinema is a unique film festival that is dedicated to animated feature films from around the world. "Animation is the only way a filmmaker can express himself without any creative limits," said Festival curator Joseph Chen.

"Partnering with local cultural organizations and festivals is imperative to the Museum's mandate which includes becoming a place of community celebration," said Museum CEO, David Marskell.

Though the Festival officially launches November 15th and runs through to the 18th, The Children's Museum will host special teaser screenings of Japanese animated films, Case Closed and Wings of Honneamise, the weekend prior to the launch at no additional charge to Museum visitors. Case Closed depicts the cases of Detective Conan who was inadvertently turned into a prepubescent boy by a criminal organization and continues to solve various crimes and mysteries. Wings of Honneamise follows the struggle and growth of Shirotsugh Lhadatt, who is an unmotivated young man who has drifted into his nation's space program.

Screenings of Case Closed and Wings of Honneamise at The Children's Museum will take place respectively Saturday November 10th at 12:30pm and 2:00 pm and will repeat at the same times on Sunday November 11th.

In addition, in association with the Children's Museum's newest series of programming, Museum After Dark, WFAC will showcase an Adult Accompaniment rated film called Jinroh, the Wolf Brigade. This is an intriguing story based on "Little Red Riding Hood" portrays a cruel yet sentimental relationship between Constable Kazuki Fuse in the Special Unit and Kei Amamiya, a 17 year old girl who had lost the motivation for life. This show will run at 5:00 pm on Saturday only and is 90 minutes long.
