Museum announces first consumer show |

Kitchener, ON - This spring, The Children's Museum will be holding the first of what they expect to be many consumer trade shows. The ECO Show has been specifically designed to raise the profile and awareness for companies who produce, distribute and sell products and services that preserve and enhance the natural environment, help conserve energy and are ecologically just.
Taking place during the March Break, The Museum can ensure a built-in audience of vacationing visitors over the three day period.
The ECO Show will build upon the environmental thrust the Children's Museum has embraced as a theme in their exhibits and programming, beginning last year with the launch of the Kids Inspiring Change: Energy Awareness and Conservation Program. The Museum's environmental commitment has since been strengthened with additions to the facility such as the zerofootprint Kids Ecological Footprint Calculator, the installation of The Living Wall and the Electricity House.
The show has also been inspired in part by a world class exhibit, Discovering Chimpanzees: The Remarkable World of Jane Goodall, which the Children's Museum is hosting this winter and spring. The focus of the ECO Show and what is highlighted by Jane Goodall herself in the exhibition, is the importance of conservation of the environment and is an overall complement to the entire Jane Goodall experience.
The ECO Show launches March 13th and runs through the 15th. The Museum hopes to attract companies in a variety of industries from construction to health and beauty to food to travel and tourism to showcase their solutions and help promote an overall environmentally sound message.
